The finish on the slide looks like paint (maybe cerakote?), and there's some kind of visible aberation in the bore, but it doesn't appear to have a negative effect on accuracy. The fit and finish of my 92X is not up to par with my old-school 92. IMO, the 2 or 3 extra rounds that I'd get in the Centurion don't really offset the disadvantages of trying to conceal the larger grip.but if your hands are too wide for a full grip on the compact, the Centurion might be advantageous for you. ![]() My compact holds 15 rounds in flush fit magazines, and I can still get a full grip on the gun even after swapping out the factory baseplates with the pinky extensions for flat ones. While the standard/full-sized 92X uses a 4.7-inch barrel to produce an 8.5-inch long handgun that tips the scales at 33.4-ounces while unloaded, the smaller Centurion is a more Commander-style. I'm finding that I really appreciate the Vertec style grip as well. I really like the gun.it had an excellent trigger out of the box.smoother and much shorter reset than my classic 92FS.
